About

One person. That's the pitch.

The Free Website Co. is a one-person shop in Los Angeles building websites and web apps for service businesses across the country. There's no team page because there's no team. You'll see "we" around this site — it's one person plus very good tools, and "we" just reads better on a checklist.

The person who reads your intake builds your site.

Every part of your site comes from the same set of hands — the intake review, the copy, the design, the code, the launch, and the email answering your revision notes. Nothing gets lost between steps, because there are no steps between people.

Current tools, stated plainly.

I build with AI-accelerated tooling. It's why one person can deliver what used to take a team, in days instead of months, at a price without agency overhead baked in. I'd rather tell you that in plain terms than let you assume there's a floor of employees. The tools draft fast; the judgment about your business, your customers, and what goes on the page is mine, and I stand behind every word that ships.

Service businesses, specifically.

I build for businesses where the website's job is measured in phone calls — home services first: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, landscaping. But the focus is a specialty, not a fence: law firms, online stores, restaurants, and any business that lives on customers finding it are just as welcome. That focus is the product. The layouts, the copy style, and the checklists all exist because they serve how real customers choose a service business: quickly, on a phone, comparing you to two other tabs.

Los Angeles is where I sit, not where I stop.

Everything is delivered remotely — recorded video audits, video calls, and review links that work the same whether you're in Long Beach or Louisville. The city is home base. The work goes anywhere.

Principles

The rules the work follows.

  • Say what a thing costs and when it lands. In writing. First.
  • The client owns everything. Anything else is a leash.
  • Plain English or it doesn't ship — in copy, quotes, and invoices.
  • No promises about rankings, traffic, or revenue. Deliverables and dates only.
  • Speed is respect: fast pages for your customers, fast replies for you.
  • If the honest answer is "you don't need me for this," that's the answer.

See if we fit.

A few lines about your business gets you a straight answer — including 'you don't need me' when that's the truth.
